Just a few miles from Ashton lies Franklin Creek State Natural Area, which offers 1,025 acres of forests, rocky bluffs, wetlands and prairie, all threaded together by Franklin Creek.
Not too long ago, Crest Foods partnered with Franklin Creek Conservation Association to help continue their ADA accessible path all the way to Mill Spring. In January 2023, the old boardwalk by the spring was removed and a new concrete path was poured, complete with ADA accessible picnic tables and benches so that everyone would be able to enjoy.
Be sure to stop by the Mill Springs Park and take the .5 mile paved path back to this beautiful spot!
