Once again this year, the Crest Foods Hourly Employee Safety Team (S.A.F.E. ), sponsored a Summer Safety Poster Contest. All children and grandchildren of Crest Foods employees, full time or temporary, were eligible to participate. The goal of the contest is to help promote safety at home and at work and to show off the artistic talents of your family members!
The theme of this year’s contest was What my family member does at work to stay safe and we were curious to see what the kids think we do here at work all day! Posters were judged on creativity, originality, effort and expression of the contest theme by a panel of impartial judges (this year we asked the group at the Win The Day meeting to be our judges) and one winner from each age group was selected. All participants got a DQ gift card. Winners, who each received a $25 Visa gift card, were announced at the Year End Celebration on August 13th.
We had a total of nine entries, representing these age groups : 6 – 9, 10 – 13 and 14 – 18.

Posters were displayed in the hallways of the buildings where the participant’s family member works throughout August.
