AS400 Analyst Programmer RPG Developer

Crest Foods Co., Inc. is a family operated food manufacturing company that was established in 1946 and has grown to a company with about 650 full time employees. Its state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and offices are all located in Ashton, Illinois.

This is an onsite position, no remote work.

We are seeking an AS400 Analyst / Programmer. RPG Developer to join our culture-driven team. Our four-person IT Department supports three shifts with an IBM I-Series system running Infor/Inifinum ERP software and a warehouse management system. Ultimately, this person is responsible for supporting our existing applications and working with new development in RPGLE and SQLRPGLE.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Design, develop and implement software using tools such as RPG/RPGLE, SQL and CLLE
• Must be able to deliver high quality work products on time with minimal direction
• Must have the ability to multi-task across multiple, concurrent projects
• Must be able to provide after-hours support as needed
• Knowledge of GXS/TrustedLink EDI is a plus
• Knowledge of Infor/Infinium ERP software is a plus
• Knowledge of EDI is a plus
• Knowledge of I-Series system upgrade and applying PTF is a plus
• Knowledge and experience with IBM Query, ACS or Infinium would be advantageous.
• Excellent programming abilities using RPG, RPG ILE, and RPG Free
• Proven experience as a developer or programmer with a strong focus on AS/400 systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Previous experience working with manufacturing, inventory control and Accounting pkgs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficient with structured design using service programs and modules to enhance extensibility and reusability.
• Provide end-user support and manage service requests through the IT ticketing system.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, process flows, and user manuals

Salary:  $90,000-$140,000

Interview process starts with a remote evaluation, remote programming test, then in-person meeting with the team.
